The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Power Delivery and Utilization (PDU) Program Virtual Advisory & Sector Council Meetings are being held September 14-25, 2020. Attendees input on emerging and ongoing technology challenges will help ensure EPRI’s research, development, and demonstration activities effectively and efficiently address key industry priorities.

IQGeo's CTO, Peter Batty, will give a keynote on September, 15 at 1:00 PM on 'What's next for Utility GIS'.  This session will look at present technology trends that will shape future GIS products and how they will be used by electric utilities. It will also include discussion on how this future vision will be enabled by EPRI's GIS research. During his keynote, Pete will discuss emerging technologies that will impact utility GIS over the next few years, including machine learning, reality capture and augmented reality.

The purpose of the EPRI Virtual Fall Meeting is to:

  • To finalize program-level research plans for 2021 and new research initiatives
  • Highlight important areas of industry collaboration
  • To discuss industry events and emerging issues
  • Continue discussion of EPRI's role in addressing these industry issues.
