Ed Parsons of Google to keynote at myWorld Meetup

Ubisense* Group plc (AIM:UBI), a global leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that Ed Parsons of Google will give a keynote address at its myWorld Meetup in Denver on November 7-8, 2017.

Ed is well known as a geospatial industry thought leader and excellent conference speaker. In his role as the Geospatial Technologist of Google, he has responsibility for evangelizing Google’s mission to organize the world’s information using geography. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Open Geospatial Consortium and was co-chair of the W3C/OGC Spatial Data on the Web Working Group. He is a Visiting Professor at University College London and an Executive Fellow at the University of Aberdeen Business School. Previously, Ed was the first Chief Technology Officer in the 200-year-old history of the Ordnance Survey, the UK’s national mapping organization, and was instrumental in moving their focus from mapping to Geographical Information.

Ubisense’s enterprise geomobility platform, myWorld, is used daily by more than 20,000 engineering and operations professionals working in the communications, electric and gas industries. The annual myWorld Meetup brings together Ubisense customers to share experiences with their peers and Ubisense staff, plus get updates on the latest myWorld product developments and plans.

This change reflects our focus on the IQGeo corporate brand that was launched at the beginning of 2019.
