IQGeo taps senior industry talent to continue high growth trajectory

Cambridge, 17 May 2022 - IQGeo (AIM: IQG), a developer of geospatial software that is “Building better networks” for telecom and utility operators, today announced that three experienced telecommunication, utility and geospatial industry professionals have joined the IQGeo team in strategic technical and business development roles. James Wheatley is the new Head of Product Management, Adrian McNulty is now Vice President of Utility Solutions, and Troy Lewis is the Product Owner for Utilities. With more than 50 years of combined experience, these new hires bring a wealth of technology and industry expertise and will play a key role in further accelerating the growth of IQGeo.

 

James WheatleyJames Wheatley – Head of Product Management
James joins IQGeo after 23 years with the GE Smallworld business where he held a range of industry and product management roles including his last position of Product Line Manager for Telecommunications. His telecom industry and software product management experience make him uniquely suited to take responsibility for IQGeo’s new role of Head of Product Management. James will lead IQGeo’s Product Management Group (PMG), acting as a bridge between customer requirements and the software engineering team

Adrian McNultyAdrian McNulty – Vice President of Utility Solutions
Adrian joins IQGeo from Advanced Control Systems, a leader in ADMS solutions, where he was the CEO. His 25 years of industry experience will add tremendous additional depth to the IQGeo team. He has been intimately engaged with the technology and digital transformations that are happening throughout the utility industry.

Adrian explained, “To be successful with the rapid changes we are seeing across the utility industry, operators must adopt modern solutions that directly reflects the distributed nature of their next-generation networks. Troy LewisTroy Lewis – Product Owner for Utilities
Troy comes to IQGeo after five years at Florida Power & Light (FP&L) where he gained valuable first-hand operational field insights. As Product Owner on their Smart Grid and Innovation team, Troy was responsible for developing technology strategies to manage grid reliability and maintenance of their aging network assets. His previous roles give him a comprehensive perspective into the complete operational lifecycle including back-office engineering, field crew execution, and customer service delivery.

My experience at FP&L has demonstrated the huge contribution software technology makes in addressing the existential challenges facing the electrical industry.” says Troy. “I have developed a passion for the application of technology to solve real-world problems and joining IQGeo gives me the chance to work with the industry’s most innovative software solution. I can’t wait to start solving problems with our customers and engineering team.”
